Lab - Natural Resources - 02-01-11

Natural Resources are things found in nature that people use.

What are some renewable resources?

What are some nonrenewable resources?

Recycling is the process of turning something old unto something new.
What are things you recycle at home?

    1. Renewable resources will always be there such as water, soil, people, plants, and animals.
    2. Nonrenewable resources take millions of years to form such as coal and natraul gas.
    3. I, unfortunatly, do not recycle very much at home. I do with my mom go to a place where they recycle cardboard. I hope, in the future, I can do more to help the world by recycling more.

I have a box in my back yard that we put any left over foods in, ( except for meat, attracts bugs) and after a very long period of time all of the material forms good rich fertilizer for the soil.

Some nonrenewable resources are coal, natural gas, and oil. Some renewable resources are air, animals, plants, people, and wind. You can recycle lots of things at home such as paper, plastic, glass, aluminium, and cardboard. It depends what number is in the triangle on the bottom to tell where you can recycle it.You can normally find this on plastic items such as a water bottle.

If we do not recycle we will not have a happy earth and run out of earth's natural recources. That is why recycling is so important.

Today there was no lab today but we learned something today. We learned how we use energy and fossil fuels and what they came from. Then we watched a Bill Nye the science guy video to see some examples how we use energy and where they came from. We talked about it then class was over. It was a pretty short day to learn something new.
