Lab - Water Cycle 1- 10-12

Water Cycle

  • What is evaporation?

  • What is condensation?

  • Can precipitation evaporate before it hits the Earth's surface?

  • What property of the sun drives the water cycle?

  8. 1. The process when water vapor rises up from the suns heat.
    2. When water vapor becomes a cloud.
    3. No because the Earths gravity pulls the water down, and the evaporation process takes to long.
    4. The heat of the sun raises the temperture of the water, which causes evaporation(or water vapor)

    1. Evaporation is when water is heated up and turns into water vapor (A gas.).
    2. Condensation is when water vapor is turned into clouds.
    3. It can't as the clouds dropping the water, sleet, snow or hail blocks out the sun (Which evaporates water.) which means the precipitation has no heat to make them evaporate.
    4. Solar Radioactivity (Also known as heat.).
