Weathering - Erosion - Deposition - 01-11-10

Weathering - rain falls on a cliff and breaks away the rock into the river.

Erosion - the river carries the broken pieces of rock to another location.

Deposition - the dirt, broken pieces of rock, is deposited in one place and a new landform is being constructed.

Give me an example of weathering, erosion, and deposition..........

  1. Weathering-Waves crashing against a rock and wearing it away.

Erosion-Rocks flow down a river and are carried to another location.

Deposition-Rocks are deposited in 1 place and a land form is constructed.

  2. Weathering:Crashing of waves on rocks wearing them away.

Erosion:Flow of Rocks to another Location.

Deposition:Like the rocks are deposited to another place constructing a landform.

  3. In erosion, water carried grains of rock from a boulder in the riverbed and carried the sand to form another rock

In Deposition, wind carried sand from a sand dune and carried it to the ocean to form a delta

In weaathering, wind took grains of rock and made sand dunes

weathering when water hits the side of a clif washes it away.erosion when water takes brokein down stuff away.erion when aney kind of weather moves rock, dust that kind of things.deposition is when broken down things are deposited.

An example of weathering is a mountain when it gets too cold it starts to weater and starts getting old, an example of erosion is when a bolder in the ocean is continuisly being hit by water it starts to break down into peices and move along the ocean, and an example of deposition is a seed falls into the grounf=d it starts becoming a plant and composes leaves.

  13. Weathering-Waves crash against a rocky landform, and gradually, a small part of the rock is weathered.
Erosion-The wind transports the small rock to a different location.
Deposition-The ocean deposits small bits of rock, soil, and other sedimentary onto a beach.

  14. The rain falls on the rock causing the surface to dissolve. Then the wind blows it away and it is deposited on a beach as sand.

  15. Water hits a sea cliff and breaks it apart. Then pieces of rock get transported by the water. The rock gets deposited somewhere in an island.
